Leased Private Lines
A leased line, also known as private or dedicated line, is a telephone line that has been leased for private use and is a permanent telephone connection between two points set up by a telecommunications message carrier (such as BT or AT&T). On the norm, large companies rent leased lines to interconnect different geographic locations in their company.
A leased line is always active and the fee for the connection is a fixed monthly rate with speeds usually from 64K right through to 45Mbps. The primary factors affecting the monthly fee are distance between end points and the speed of the circuit. Because the connection is private or dedicated, the carrier can assure a given level of quality.
Dedicated Voice Lines
Dedicated voice lines are mainly used by companies or smaller businesses because they afford faster data transfer rates and are cost-effective if the Internet is used heavily.
For example, a T-1 (E1) is a type of leased line that provides a maximum transmission speed of 1.544Mbps. By multiplexing, or dividing the connection, you can have different lines for data and voice communication or use the channel for one high speed data circuit.
Large Multi-Meg Lines
We provide high-speed multi-meg circuits to large business globally. Generally T3 (E3) and Optical Carrier Level, fiber optic circuits (OC-3, OC12 & OC-48. An OC-3 fiber optic circuit contains 2016 Voice Circuits...).
If you are looking for dedicated, high-bandwidth guaranteed connectivity that will support active networks, web servers, large data and file transfers, and multimedia applications, we can help!
